The two storey house, which is connected to mains water and electricity, is situated on the edge of a small village, but has good access links to both Coimbra and Ansiгo. It was built in a traditional style and has stone walls but it does require renovation and modernisation. It has a garage to the side and stone outbuildings which are in a bad state of repair but could be renovated.
The main entrance to the house is at the front of the property and leads into a hallway. There is a rustic style kitchen, a spacious living room, with wooden floor, a bedroom and a partially tiled bathroom.
There are two further bedrooms to the first floor as well as a large living room which has a set of wooden framed patio doors which open out on to a 'Juliet' style balcony to the front of the house. There is also an external door off the living room, which leads to a raised patio at the rear of the house.
There are stone outbuildings to the side of the house, these do not have roofs and have been used for storage purposes in the past. One has a bread oven. The house is set on land of 800 m2 and there is a well.
The property is on the outskirts of the small village of Junqueira, set back from a quiet road and has open views across the countryside. The larger town of Ansiгo, which has shops, restaurants, a supermarkets, bakers, butchers, library, schools, municipal sports centre and a weekly market is around ten minutes drive. Coimbra, Portugal's third city, is approximately half an hours drive from the property. Coimbra is home to Portugal's oldest university and is a popular destination for tourists. The closest airport is Porto, which is approximately one and three quarter hours' by car.
